Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation, preparing journal entries and financial statements, creating and maintaining periodic reporting, maintaining fixed asset system, assisting with annual budgeting, expenditures reporting, preparing statistical and financial reports, maintaining records retention and assisting the Finance department in preparation of miscellaneous correspondence to the parent company.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation, preparing journal entries and financial statements, creating and maintaining periodic reporting, maintaining fixed asset system, assisting with annual budgeting, expenditures reporting, preparing statistical and financial reports, maintaining records retention and assisting the Finance department in preparation of miscellaneous correspondence to the parent company.
Responsibilities
· Review and process reimbursement payments in compliance with company policy and Procedure.
· Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
· Responsible for company credit card accounting, reviewing and analyzing company credit card expenses transactions ensuring that all expenses are in compliance with company policy. Reconcile credit cards to ensure that all payments are accounted for and recorded in the general ledger.
· Perform daily financial transactions, including, identifying, classifying, and recording reimbursements into the general ledger.
· Understand expense accounts, cost centers, and compliance issues around employee reimbursement and vendor payment processes (IRS regulations).
· Maintain the billing system.
· Generate customer invoices and maintain account receivable files and records.
· Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposition into SAP.
· Conduct annual physical counts of fixed assets as requested.
· Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with month-end closing.
· Responds timely to employee inquiries regarding the company’s financial policies.
· Assist with other projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance from a four-year college or university
· 1+ years of accounting experience. Manufacturing Industrial experience preferred.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
· High-level cross-functional communication
· Accuracy and attention to details
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese
· Experience with SAP accounting software is preferred
